Dr. Todd Kashdan, Ph.D.

Dr. Todd Kashdan's broad mission is to increase the amount of well-being in this world as a professor, psychologist, author, and public speaker. Kashdan is one of the leading authorities on happiness, meaning and purpose in life, mindfulness, psychological strength use and development, stress and anxiety, and social relationships, publishing over 100 peer-reviewed articles on these topics. He is the author of several popular books, including Curious? Discover the Missing Ingredient to a Fulfilling Life (William Morrow), and Designing Positive Psychology (Oxford University Press).

He is Associate Professor of Psychology and Senior Scientist at the Center for Consciousness and Transformation at George Mason University, where he was awarded the 2010 Distinguished Faculty Member of the Year. For over a decade, he has been teaching college courses on the science of well-being. He also gives workshops to organizations as diverse as the military, Hormel, General Mills, and the Ministry of Health in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Dr. Kashdan is a frequent radio, television, and print media contributor on how individuals, couples, institutions, and societies can flourish, this includes feature articles in the New York Times Magazine and The Washington Post, regular appearances on National Public Radio, and blogs for The Huffington Post and Psychology Today. He's a twin and has twin 5-year old daughters, with plans to rapidly populate the world with great conversationalists.
