Daniel Seidman, Ph.D.
Smoking cessation expert, Dr. Daniel Seidman, is a clinical psychologist and practicing psychotherapist with a Ph.D. from Columbia. He has been on the faculty at Columbia University Medical Center for 25 years and is the director of smoking cessation services at the Columbia University Behavioral Medicine Program. For the past twenty years, he has done research on smoking cessation and operated a variety of clinics in community settings, corporations, and at New York Presbyterian hospital and Columbia University. Dr. Seidman has made extensive media appearances including the Oprah Winfrey show and the Oprah and Friends XM radio show with Dr. Oz. For over 20 years, he has also maintained a private psychotherapy practice in Manhattan.
