Mental Workout appoints Dr. Archelle Georgiou to Advisory Board

Nationally renowned health care executive joins Mental Workout's efforts to reinvent the delivery of psychology.

Water Mill, NY (August 8, 2011) - Mental Workout, a company reinventing self-help, today announced that Dr. Archelle Georgiou has been selected to serve on its Advisory Board. Dr. Georgiou will contribute her deep knowledge of clinical medicine as well as her breadth of experience in business and health care administration to support Mental Workout's efforts to reinvent the delivery of psychology.

Dr. Georgiou, former EVP of Strategic Relations and Chief Medical Officer for UnitedHealth Group, left UnitedHealth after fourteen years to form Georgiou Consulting, LLC. While at UnitedHealth she was the primary spokesperson for clinical media opportunities, medical advisor to the UnitedHealth Foundation and launched a new medical management model, "Care Coordination," that eliminated and replaced pre-certification review with a proactive collaborative care approach for patients and physicians. Her consulting firm focuses on using the power of language, data, and technology to translate complex medical information into meaningful decisioning tools for a broad spectrum of health care companies and service providers seeking to leverage disparate data to drive system performance, organizational productivity and profitability.

In addition, Dr. Georgiou helps women make better health care decisions as the Chief Clinical Officer of EmpowHER. She is a senior advisor to TripleTree, an investment banking firm in Minneapolis that focuses on innovative technology and healthcare. In addition, Dr. Georgiou is the health expert for Fox 9 News and conducts a twice-weekly health segment in the Twin Cities.
